The field of application of Plystone Roof Decking is mainly in residences, although it may be uses as well in other types of constructions. The Roof Decking system may be used under any type of climate; this is not an impairing issue.

Utilizing a conventional metal or wooden structure, the Plycem boards in addition to serve as a base for the roofing cover (clay tiles, fiber-cement Teja Sevillana, asphalt shingles, etc), it also work perfectly as a uniform ceiling system with traditional appearance, which may receive many types of finishings.

The objective of the Roof Decking is to serve as base for the final roofing material in a building, thus allowing a superior-quality enclosure providing also long-lasting, comfort and safety conditions.

Types

Exposed Roof Sheathing: Utilized as ceiling; the smooth side will be visible from the inside of the building

Non-exposed Roof Sheathing: When an additional ceiling system is used in the building and therefore the smooth side will not be visible. An APRA space is created to run electrical or A/C ducts, as well as acting as an insulation space.

Uses

The slope of the Roof Sheathing shall be specified by the manufacturer of the final roofing system. Minimum thickness is 14 mm, although 17 mm thickness may also be used, depending on the use and finishes used.
